Three radio stations owned and operated by Northwest Indiana-based Radio One Communications received nine nominations overall in various categories in its market designation.
Indiana 105 (WLJE-FM) received eight nominations, including Station of the Year for the second year in a row, a category that looks at a station's overall efforts in a number of areas including community service, creative listener and sales promotions, commercial production, news and features.
Indiana 105's morning show, The Dawn Patrol with Steve Zana, Laura Waluszko, and Jan Shimek was nominated for Broadcast Personality/Team; it was the second year in a row the show was nominated in that category. Operations Director Scott Rosenberg received a nomination for Indiana 105 for Best On-Air Promotional Announcement, the second year in a row he was nominated in that category, and Indiana 105 for the second consecutive year received two out of the top three nominations in its market category for Newscast.
McWilliams also received two of the top three nominations in the Humorous Commercial category, for commercials on Indiana 105 and X-Rock, as well as a nomination in the Commercial Series category. McWilliams was also nominated in both of those categories last year.
